BE16 Authorisation

A BE16 Abnormal Load Permit Licence or "Special Order" for Long loads, is a legal document obtained from the Highways Agency on behalf of The Secretary of State for Transport.

A BE16 Abnormal Load Permit licence is required where the loaded trailer length exceeds 27.4m (max 44000kgs)
or
if the rigid trailer length exceeds 30m (45000kgs and over)

The Highways Agency can take up to 8 week to process some Permit Licence applications

EAF will undertake all correspondence to obtain the BE16 Licence on your behalf and can supply all technical calculations for the Abnormal load and any indemnities require by the Highways Agency

The BE16 Authorisation Permit Licence is valid up to 6 months
